THE KING'S AND QUEEN'S BATHROOM...
In March of this year, while I was on a short visit to Paris, a friend suggested we go see something he deemed I "would appreciate". He took me to the place where he works, the Quai d'Orsay, the building that houses the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. There, very close to his office, were two bathrooms (his and hers) designed for King George VI (of recent King's Speech fame) and his wife Elizabeth (later known as the Queen Mother) for their stay in the palace during an official visit in 1938. I didn't have a proper camera with me,but managed to take a few snaps with the tiny one I was carrying... By sheer coincidence, a couple of months later, in May, The World of Interiors ran a story on both rooms
