IT WAS MY FIRST WALK IN THE DOLOMITES...
and after the thunder storm had passed, my friend headed back into the forest looking for more mushrooms...
I chose a sunny spot to wait for him, and dry my clothes...
with this beauty for company.
I waited for the remaining clouds to clear...
to get a full view...
of Il Sasso Lungo in its full glory...

OLD STONES BELOW THE ACROPOLIS...
After amusing myself with the antics of four legged friends...
and eavesdropping in other people's conversations...
I followed my nose to the fenced woods below the Acropolis...
where the young archeologists were discussing...
what to do with the old stones, covered with dust of centuries.
